Gold Award Winners
In late April, sixteen of our area’s finest wine
professionals (including Esquin’s own Jeff Fournier) descended upon
the Rainier Club. They participated in a single-blind tasting of
hundreds of wines for the Seattle Wine Awards, Washington State’s
most prestigious wine awards program, and painstakingly narrowed the
entries down to just a few award winners. Below, find some of our
favorites. To see the entire list, log onto

Alexandria Nicole ‘09 Pinot Gris
$15.99 btl / $182.29 cs "The very best fruit was
carefully selected and hand harvested for our first vintage of Pinot
Gris. These plump, round berries display aromas of Fuji apple,

bright on the palate, and finishes with a hint of sweetness
complemented by good acidity. " Winery Notes Awarded Gold!
Substance ‘08 Merlot

red and black fruits that are seductive and charming. Awarded Gold!

$46.99 btl / $535.69 cs
A Cabernet Sauvignon-based
blend (with 25% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc) sourced entirely from
