Hugues Beaulieu ‘07 Picpoul de Pinet
$8.99 btl / $102.49 cs
The perfect "first signs of spring" vino! Fresh and fine aromas of grapefruit and exotic fruit. Lime flavors, with typical focusing acidity, are hallmarks of Picpoul. This lively and fun white is a steal for under $10.

Ch. Aussieres ‘06 Chardonnay
$10.99 btl / $125.29 cs
An un-oaked Chardonnay from the south of France made by Lafite Rothschild. Ripe lemons and sweet minerals on the nose with flavors of fresh Bartlett pears. Clean like Chablis, but with richer body. Regular: $14.99

Pascal Bouchard ‘06 Bourgogne Aligote
$11.99 btl / $136.69 cs
Aligote, the other white grape of Burgundy (Chardonnay’s the other) delivers crisp, dry lime mineral driven flavors in this bottling. This would be excellent with oysters. $16.99

Domaine Sorin ‘07 Rose
$10.99 btl / $125.29 cs
Classified partly in Bandol and partly in Côtes de Provence, these vineyards profit from a moderate climate during the heat of the summer. Luc Sorin, originally from Burgundy, has combined the unique ancestral Burgundy traditional know-how, with innovation in Bandol. This rosé consists of 60% Mouvèdre, 30% Grenache and 10% Cinsault.

Dom. des Bacchantes ‘06 Cotes-du-Rhone
$10.99 btl /$125.29 cs
This is a delightfully fruity but powerful southern Rhone blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. Unoaked, the wine is vinified on native yeasts without sulphur and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. This gives the wine its surprisingly lush texture for a daily drinker price!

  Duboeuf ’06 Beaujolais Villages
$6.99 btl / $79.69 cs
Displays a deep, luminous cherry color, red with bluish tints. The bouquet offers ripe red fruit character, suggesting strawberry and blackcurrant, with a touch of cinnamon. Velvet-like in the mouth, with soft tannins, it is well-balanced and complete. Reg: $10

La Vielle Ferme ‘06 Cotes de Ventoux
$8.99 btl / $102.49 cs
This is just plain delicious! The famous Rhone blend of Grenache and Syrah, plus a bit of Carignan and Cinsault brought to you by the owners of renowned Chateau Beaucastel – the apex of Chateauneuf producers. This is a rich, friendly wine featuring gobs of cherry and blackberry fruit as well as a bit of peppery spice.

Ch. Jalousie ‘05 Bordeaux Superieur
$10.99 btl / $125.29 cs
This is a delicious, medium-bodied red. Notes of cherry and cedar on the nose are complimented by round, fleshy flavors of black cherry and red currant on the palate. Ripe, medium-grained tannins give the wine backbone and extend the finish. I would recommend this wine with cheeses, lamb and beef dishes.

Ch. Lagarosse ‘05 Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux
$14.99 btl / $170.89 cs
My first exclamation was, "wow." A dense dark crucible of black fruit, spice, mineral and smooth tannins, fused together to form this delicious wine. This is a rich, refined Bordeaux with exquisite balance.

Cave des Papes ‘05 Cotes-du-Rhone "Heritage"
$11.99 btl / $136.69 cs
This is a tasty, spicy, traditional Rhone blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre. The blend is aged for 12 months in large oak casks in Chateauneuf’s oldest cellars. These large casks (or foudres) give the wine a roundness and a supple texture. This is no foot-stompin’ monster but rather the authentically elegant, medium-bodied  wine that made Rhone reds famous.

Dom. de Couron ‘05 Cotes du Rhone Villages
$11.99 btl / $136.69 cs
I loved this wine when I pulled the cork, but this really opened up overnight! A delicious medium-to-full body blend of Grenache, Mourvedre & Syrah, this wine is great by itself but shines with food. This baby delivers rich blueberry and black cherry fruit with a delightful spicy finish.
